How to cancel your RLI policy

The process for canceling an RLI policy depends on the type of policy you have. Follow the guidance below to determine the appropriate next step.

If you have an RLI Personal Umbrella Policy, contact your insurance agent or broker to request cancellation. If you need assistance locating your policy information or managing your policy, visit RLICORP.COM and select Login & Payments > Personal Umbrella to access your policy account. From there, you can view your policy information and other self-service options.

For all other RLI insurance products, contact the insurance agent or broker who wrote your policy to request cancellation. RLI distributes its insurance products through a network of authorized agents and brokers, who can assist with policy changes, including cancellation requests.

If you are the principal on an RLI surety bond and need to discuss canceling your bond, contact RLI Surety for assistance. Cancellation requirements vary by bond type and may be governed by the bond terms or applicable regulations.
